Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Engine & Performance

The motorcycle runs on a 199.5 cc liquid cooled, 4 valve engine that produces 24.13 bhp @ 9750 rpm of maximum power and 18.74 Nm @ 8000 rpm of peak torque. It is paired with a 6 Speed speed gearbox that delivers smooth shifts and an energetic punch when revved hard. Additionally, an assist and slipper clutch system is included, making clutch lever pulls light and preventing rear wheel hopping during quick, aggressive downshifts in traffic.

The bike delivers excellent fuel management for its power output, ensuring you get a great balance of thrills and savings. The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 mileage is 36 kmpl, which allows you to cover a long range before needing a refill.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Key Features

The 200cc motorcycle features a semi digital instrument console that keeps you informed while riding. It displays real time data like a gear position indicator, empty tank distance calculator, and phone notification alerts. For night riding, it is equipped with an ultra bright LED headlight & taillight.

To handle uneven roads smoothly, the bike uses a 41 mm telescopic suspension at the front. While at the rear, it has a Nitrox monoshock absorber. Moreover, the 300 mm front disc brake and 230 mm rear disc brake are very useful during unexpected braking situations. Furthermore, the thick 17 inch tubeless alloy wheels and mm offer massive cornering grip and outstanding stability over wet or loose surfaces.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Specifications

Riders get a sportier & high riding stance. The Pulsar NS200 seat height is 805 mm, which provides a commanding view of the road. It has a total kerb weight of 158 kg, giving it a very solid and planted feel even when crosswinds hit you on the highway.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Expert Opinion

“The 2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 remains a solid choice in the 200cc segment. It may not offer every modern feature, but it delivers where it matters, including performance, handling, and everyday comfort. With its sharp looks, strong engine, and easy riding feel, this bike is perfect for anyone looking for a reliable street bike without spending too much.”

4/5

The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has been around for over a decade now. Moreover, Bajaj Auto has given it some meaningful updates in the 2025 model. This keeps it fresh in the ever-growing 200cc naked sports bike segment.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Side Profile

While the core of the bike remains the same, there are enough updates to make this motorcycle feel more premium and modern. After spending a good amount of time riding the 2025 Pulsar NS200 on city streets and open highways, here is the honest review.

4.5/5

  • While the overall design hasn’t changed much since launch, we still found its muscular, sporty stance turning heads during our ride.
  • The new paint quality and graphics give the bike a more premium vibe. The bike definitely feels refreshed even if it’s familiar.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Switches

  • The USD front forks not only improved ride quality but also made the front end look more robust and aggressive.
  • During the test ride, we liked the 3D logo and tank shrouds. Moreover, the small touches that make it feel closer to the newer Pulsars, especially with those alloy wheels.
  • We rode the Metallic Pearl White variant, and it truly stands out in traffic.
  • Even after years on the road, the NS200 still grabs attention wherever you take it, which says a lot about its styling.

  • The new all-digital instrument cluster is a huge upgrade. We loved having everything, from gear position to turn-by-turn navigation, right in front of us.
  • Bluetooth connectivity adds serious convenience. It was easy to pair my phone and stay connected on the go without distractions.
  • The addition of Distance-To-Empty and real-time fuel economy readings helped us plan fuel stops better during long rides.
  • With LED headlamps, DRLs, and turn indicators now on board, night visibility is fantastic and the bike looks sharper than ever.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Headlight

  • The upgraded backlit switchgear still feels intuitive, and now combined with the modern console, it completes a much-needed tech refresh.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Digital Console

  • Dual-channel ABS continues to inspire confidence. It worked smoothly under sudden braking and added to the NS200’s safety-first appeal.

4/5

  • The 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine absolutely loves high revs. We really enjoyed pushing it past 8,000rpm, where it feels the most alive and eager.
  • With 24.13 bhp on tap, the NS200 pulls strongly and confidently, especially when you're gunning it on open roads or during quick overtakes.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Engine

  • The six-speed gearbox feels slick and precise, shifting through the gears on the highway was smooth and added to the riding fun.
  • We did notice some vibrations on the footpegs and handlebars at higher RPMs, but honestly, they weren’t annoying enough to take away from the ride.
  • The bike feels super nimble and responsive, and that really shows when you're picking up speed or weaving through traffic.
  • Among all the 200cc bikes we’ve ridden, this one felt the most aggressive in a straight line, which is perfect if drag races are your weekend thing.

TVS Apache RTR 160 Tyre

4.5/5

  • During test rides, we managed to get around 30-32 kmpl, depending on how hard we twisted the throttle. It is pretty decent for a performance-focused bike.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Fuel tank

  • On the highway, the NS200 felt smooth cruising between 80 and 100 kmph, and it did so without guzzling fuel.
  • With its 12-litre fuel tank, we didn’t have to stop often for fuel. You can expect a overall range of around 380+ Km.

5/5

  • The new USD forks are a game-changer, they gave a much better front-end feel and made cornering more confidence-inspiring, especially at higher speeds.
  • The steel perimeter frame still shines. We could really feel the bike hold its line through corners, giving us solid control when pushing it.
  • In city traffic, the bike feels nimble and easy to flick through gaps. It’s very agile for a 200cc machine.
  • The suspension setup leans towards the firmer side, which we appreciated while riding aggressively.
  • That said, even on patchy roads, the ride didn’t feel overly harsh. It handled most bumps better than we expected for this segment.

TVS Apache RTR 160 Brake

  • The 805 mm seat height worked well. It was easy to manage the bike at signals and while manoeuvring in tight spots.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Seat

  • Both rider and pillion seats are fairly comfortable. During our ride, we didn’t need a break for a good while.
  • The clip-ons and slightly rear-set footpegs keep you in a sporty position.
  • For daily commutes, the leaned-forward posture takes a bit of getting used to, but we didn’t find it tiring once we were accustomed to it.
  • The seat cushioning is firm, but on longer rides, it felt supportive and didn’t lead to soreness.
  • The pillion seat, though, is narrow. It’s okay for short rides, but longer trips might not be very comfortable for your co-rider.

4.5/5

  • Bajaj offers a wide and accessible service network across India, which makes regular maintenance convenient for owners.
  • Spare parts are readily available and reasonably priced, which helps keep maintenance costs under control.
  • The Pulsar NS200 is known for its reliability, and overall long-term ownership remains affordable and hassle-free.

TVS Apache RTR 160 Mudguard

4/5

  • If you want an exciting bike with solid performance and sharp handling, the NS200 is worth considering.
  • It may not have all the modern features, but the ride experience makes up for it.
  • Ideal for riders upgrading from a 125cc or 150cc bike.
  • Suitable for both daily commutes and weekend rides.

    The Ultimate Budget Thrill Machine!

I bought this bike because I wanted something aggressive and fast for college and weekend rides. The 199.5 cc engine is an absolute powerhouse. It loves to be revved hard, and the moment you push it, the 24.13 bhp power kicks in with a massive surge that makes highway overtaking incredibly easy and fun. It handles like a sportbike around sharp corners, the brakes are sharp, and it looks incredibly muscular.

    The Street Performer

I went on a night highway ride with my NS200. The 199cc engine pulled hard, and the handling felt stable at high speeds. The sporty stance made me feel confident. But the halogen headlamp was weak, making dark roads a bit scary. Still, if you love street performance and weekend rides, this bike gives solid thrills at a fair price.
